Codex in chat, a live terminal, and a faster start
Build with the Codex agent right in the chat panel, open a live terminal in CLI mode, and go from a new project straight into its live preview with your first prompt already sent.
A new way to build: pick the Codex agent in chat and watch it work, file by file. New projects now open straight into their live preview.
New
- Codex in the chat panel. Switch between Chat and Codex. While Codex works you see what it is doing ("Editing a file", "Ran a command"), which files it changed and by how many lines, and a summary when it finishes.
- CLI mode. A third option opens an interactive terminal inside the chat panel, with a connected/disconnected status and automatic reconnect.
- A faster start. Creating a project takes you straight to its live preview, and your first prompt is sent for you. Starting from the homepage now uses the template you picked.
- Plans and credits. The Billing page showed your plan, renewal date and credits, with monthly or yearly checkout. This was later replaced by the prepaid wallet: see [Pay only for what you use](/changelog/prepaid-wallet-pricing).
Improved
- A newer default model, and the model you pick is remembered for each conversation.
- Project cards on the dashboard show the template's preview image.
- The dashboard loading screen fits on mobile, and signing out shows its progress.
Fixed
- Sign-up and the email confirmation link now work reliably.
- Imported repositories clone from their default branch instead of assuming "main".
- Reopening a project after its workspace went to sleep starts it again instead of failing.
- Version history loads again.
