April 27–30: Vite apps, workspaces and a live preview
Projects got their own running workspace with a live preview link and a terminal, the agent learned to build Vite apps, and it started keeping a design reference so your site's look stays consistent.
The week your project started running for real, not just getting edited.
What we built
- Vite apps. Alongside HTML sites and Next.js apps, the agent can now build React apps with Vite, and recognises an existing Vite project from its files.
- A workspace for every project. Each project runs in its own workspace, with a live preview link to your app that starts by itself.
- A live terminal. Watch your app's output as it runs, and send it commands.
- Stay in sync with GitHub. The workspace can pull in the latest changes from your connected repository.
- A consistent look. The agent keeps a design reference for your project and checks your shared header, footer and navigation when it adds a page, so new pages match the rest of the site.
This laid the groundwork for the preview editor that arrived next: see The preview editor.
