April 16–26: plans first, and clearer progress

The agent learned to plan before it builds, to follow design and Next.js best practices, and to report exactly what it is working on, file by file.

NewImproved

Two weeks of making the agent more thoughtful about what it builds, and more open about what it is doing.

What we built

  • Plan before building. Ask for a plan first: the agent lays out the steps before it touches any files, and carries it out when you say so.
  • Better-looking, better-built sites. The agent now follows design guidelines and Next.js best practices when it writes code.
  • Clearer live status. Friendly messages such as "Working on your request now", along with whether it is waiting for your approval, and the progress of the current job.
  • See exactly what is happening. While the agent works, the status shows which task and which file it is on, and whether each step finished.
  • One agent for the whole job. Understanding your request, planning, writing code and checking the result now happen in a single flow, so requests move from idea to finished change with fewer hand-offs.

We also made the agent recover more gracefully when something goes wrong partway through a request.
